I spent the last two days in my classroom. Because it is fall break, I didn’t have to be there. When I arrived yesterday, the maintenance man, Chuck, told me I should go home and enjoy my time off. The thing is, I was enjoying my time off. For the first time in years, I spent time “playing” in my classroom and enjoyed every minute.

I totally get this! I love playing in my room too. It’s my haven!
I like that word, Andi. Yes. It is a haven.
When it’s quiet and I’m in my classroom and I have nowhere to be, I feel solitude. I like being there, just like you said.
Yes, solitude is another perfect word for it.
