I’d love to blame my lack of blogging on the huge amount of knitting I’ve been doing lately, but I can’t. I do have this one glove to show off. Last Tuesday I drove in to Nashville to meet my friend Beth for a knitting class where we learned how to make this fetching fingerless glove. I left that night with the beginning of a glove. I finished it up just in time to give it to Tobi for her birthday Friday night. Maybe I can finish the next one this week so that she will actually have a pair. If you like this glove you might want to check out the pattern on knitty.com . It really is very easy and fairly quick. The cables make it look harder than it is.

On Being a Writer
Breaking dawn, sweet ,majesty
Twas ne’er a more glorious morn,
My pen will not let memory fade
The wonder of a new day born.Letters dance across the page,
Sweet words, orange and pinkish hue,
Joyful in their Godly praise,
Sunrise becomes a brilliant blue. And tho’ I thank the Creator,
For all creation I see,
My heart delights in none greater,
Than the pen He gave to me.
Writer’s Notebook Wednesday!
January 9, 2008Differences.
Stacey’s challenge for Writer’s Notebook Wednesday this week is for us to write about differences. I have found myself saying, “things are going to be different’ quite a lot lately. Isn’t it amazing how quickly things can happen and your whole life can be … different? I suppose differences can be scary, but they can also be exciting. I am thankful for all the differences that have come my way in the last year, and I look forward to seeing the differences in store for me in 2008.

Motivation Monday!
January 7, 2008
It’s Monday morning which means it is time to get back into the groove. My motivation this morning comes from a book my parents gave me for Christmas. The Time is Now, The Person is You by Nido Qubein. This book is just full of quotes on different topics like work, success, change, etc. This one stood out to me this morning.
Success rarely comes to those who expect failure.
I say let’s go into this week expecting success.
Have a great Monday!
