This is my first post. My dream is to figure out how to do this so that I can develop a blog for my 8th grade literature class. I would like to have students blogging as well. The only problem is that I'm not really sure what I am doing and how to set this up. But I figure the only way to get it done is take one step at a time. So, here I am writing my first post. If there is anyone out there who wants to help me on step two, I'd appreciate it.

You could actually allow students to post if they had a wordpress account. That would be cool and conducive for discussion.

Yes, I could. The problem is that many parents in my community are “afraid” of the internet. I think I may need to use something like blogmeister or learnerblog so that parents will know that students are in a more controlled environment.

Ah, yes – fear. It is sometimes difficult to lead others in to places they fear. I like to remind them that if we had played it safe we never would have walked on the moon. When you are working with their children though, you have to be “safe” sometimes.
